Jason Dorey

Learning Solutions Manager

Jason has a passion for teaching and learning, and brings this to his role of Learning Solutions Manager with Everon. A senior executive with 15+ years of experience in the international K-12 education sector. Jason has significant experience in teaching, learning and leadership. After receiving his MEd, Jason held the role of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator and concurrently served as Chair of the Northern China and Mongolia IB DP Coordinator Network. Jason then followed his passion for learning outside of the classroom to become the founding Managing Director of Matata Education, an experiential education provider offering service trips and week without walls programs to K-12 schools throughout Mainland China. With the onset of COVID and the temporary hiatus from travel, Jason sought a role to guide schools as they transitioned to the new reality of online learning. He accepted the role of founding Managing Director of CanGlory Education, an e-learning solutions provider operating across two continents. In February 2020, Jason led the integration of e-learning platforms in ten client schools as they scaled up from 30 students to over 3000 students within just thirty days. Jason believes in holistic education and is passionate about learning through a variety of mediums. He has a track record of innovation, high standards and developing the teaching and learning in all schools that he has worked with.

The MAQ qualification is valid for 2 years.

The requalification course will allow holders of the MAQ to refresh their knowledge and confirm they remain up-to-date with the latest Moodle releases. The requalification course will become available in 2027.

Complete the pre-qualification quiz, available in Moodle Academy, to ensure you’re ready for the program and then complete the form below, so a team member can connect you with an authorised MAQ provider.

Assessment in MAQ courses consists of one timed knowledge quiz and one assignment requiring short written statements with screenshots. To successfully complete any of the MAQ courses, candidates need to pass both the quiz and assignment each with a minimum score of 80%.

Duration: You have 6 months to complete all 6 self-directed courses. Please set aside 8 hours of individual study per course.

Designed for:The MAQ is aimed at experienced Moodle administrators who have completed prior training and have at least one year of experience managing Moodle sites. Candidates will undergo a pre-program assessment to verify their suitability.

Pre-requisite: Candidates must complete the Moodle HQ MAQ pre-placement quiz and receive feedback that suggests that they are suitable.

Individuals: We run programs 3 times a year, starting in March, June and October. The cost is ¥8000 CNY for the 8 courses with formal certification by Moodle HQ on completion, with no hidden extra costs. There is a 10% discount when 2 or more candidates from the same institution take the program at the same time.

Institutions for: We can also cater the start date of the program to best suit your needs for teams of 6 candidates from the same institution.

Jason Dorey

Learning Solutions Manager

Jason has a passion for teaching and learning, and brings this to his role of Learning Solutions Manager with Everon. A senior executive with 15+ years of experience in the international K-12 education sector. Jason has significant experience in teaching, learning and leadership. After receiving his MEd, Jason held the role of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator and concurrently served as Chair of the Northern China and Mongolia IB DP Coordinator Network. Jason then followed his passion for learning outside of the classroom to become the founding Managing Director of Matata Education, an experiential education provider offering service trips and week without walls programs to K-12 schools throughout Mainland China. With the onset of COVID and the temporary hiatus from travel, Jason sought a role to guide schools as they transitioned to the new reality of online learning. He accepted the role of founding Managing Director of CanGlory Education, an e-learning solutions provider operating across two continents. In February 2020, Jason led the integration of e-learning platforms in ten client schools as they scaled up from 30 students to over 3000 students within just thirty days. Jason believes in holistic education and is passionate about learning through a variety of mediums. He has a track record of innovation, high standards and developing the teaching and learning in all schools that he has worked with.
